About the Position:

Technica Mining is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Development Supervisor at one of our local mine sites in Sudbury, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all mining activities on site and reporting to the Mine Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily briefings with subordinate crews and hold them accountable for safety, housekeeping, teamwork, and professionalism on-site.
  • Maintain and enforce safe work conditions to ensure all work is in compliance with standards and procedures.
  • Provide safety and technical support to crews.
  • Lead crew activities to effectively optimize the utilization of resources, manpower, tools, and equipment towards the goal of optimizing the mining cycle at the mine.
  • Supervise subcontractors as required.

Qualifications:

  • First Line Production Supervisor Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (Program #770121 or #770141).
  • 5 years of related supervising experience in underground development mining or production workings preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing and able to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
  • Must be open to working at any of the underground mine sites, in Sudbury, that Technica operates at.

Work Schedule:

  • 5-5-4 schedule.
  • 13-hour shifts.
