About the Role
As a Regional Advanced Group Specialist, you'll play a vital role in driving the growth of our Group Employee Benefits business. This dynamic position offers diverse responsibilities and the opportunity to directly impact production and sales objectives through proactive and reactive strategies.
Your Impact
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key agency partners, brokers, and top-performing advisors within your assigned territory.
- Collaborate with group carriers' account managers to analyze market specifications and prepare competitive quotes by reviewing contract booklets.
- Provide innovative benefit solution alternatives for existing plans, focusing on cost savings, enhanced benefits, proactive solutions, and competitive plan design and pricing.
- Negotiate favorable new and renewal rates with group benefits providers on behalf of our advisors.
- Lead and conduct engaging client meetings – both in-person and virtually – to present tailored benefit solutions.
What We Look For
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
- Active Life and Accident & Sickness (A&S) licenses.
- Minimum 5 to 7+ years of proven experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of group benefits strategies for traditional, flexible, ASOs, and complex benefit plans.
- Exceptional comfort level meeting with clients in an advisory capacity, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
- A deep understanding of current insurance trends and market dynamics.
