Toronto, Ontario, Canada Northbridge Financial Corporation Full time

What it's like to be a Northbridge Regional Advanced Group Specialist

As a key member of the Group and Individual Insurance MSG team, you will contribute to the growth of the Group Employee Benefits business. Your role will be dynamic, with no two days being the same. You will oversee relationships with key partners, respond to requests to support advisors on sales cases, practice management for advisors aligned within the territory, and connect advisors to carrier partner resources, tools, and education platforms to enhance their success.

We will rely on you to provide integrated Group Benefits sales and advice to clients referred by our broker network partners. Your knowledge of group benefits strategies for traditional, flexible, ASOs, and complex benefits plans will be a valuable asset to our team.

We want your talent

If you are great at:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key agency partner advisors, key brokers, and top productive advisors
  • Reviewing contract booklets while working with group carriers' account managers to prepare market specification analysis and quotes
  • Providing benefit solution alternatives for incumbent plans with a focus on cost savings, benefits enhancements, implementing proactive solutions, evaluating plan design and cost for competitiveness
  • Negotiating new and/or renewal rates with group benefits providers on behalf of advisors
  • Leading and conducting group benefits client meetings – in person or virtually

If you have:

  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent on-the-job experience
  • Life and A&S license
  • Minimum 5 to 7+ years' experience in the insurance industry
  • Strong comfort level meeting with clients in an advisory capacity
  • Strong knowledge of insurance trends

We really mean it when we say we put you first. Here are a few ways how:

  • Hybrid work, allowing you to work from the office and at home 50/50, giving you the flexibility you need
  • We offer competitive salaries and support your financial health through our employee share purchase plan, pension plans, RRSP, discounts on staff insurance, and more
  • We help you prioritize your well-being from day one through flexible health benefits, early leave days, wellness programs, rewards, and recognition programs
  • We are invested in helping you grow in your career through education assistance to complete your CIP, FCIP, CRM, or other courses desired, internal mobility, leadership training, and mentoring programs
  • NBFC cares about the community and supports the causes you believe in with donation matching and team volunteer days
