Job Title: Gas Fitter

Blais Industries is seeking a skilled Gas Fitter to join our team. As a Gas Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas heating units and their components, as well as advising clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to gas escape calls and respond to emergency situations
  • Install and maintain meters and regulators, and gas lines between gas units and gas meters
  • Service gas heating units and their components, and repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms, and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
  • Estimate costs and materials, and test and replace defective equipment or components
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's licence
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Willingness to relocate for the position
