Job Title: Gas Fitter

Blais Industries is seeking a skilled Gas Fitter to join our team. As a Gas Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas heating units and their components, as well as advising clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain gas heating units and their components
  • Service gas heating units and their components
  • Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
  • Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
  • Advise clients on standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Test and replace defective equipment or components
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Valid driver's licence
Work Environment:

As a Gas Fitter, you will work in various locations, including commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential settings. You will be required to relocate for this position.
