The University of New Brunswick is seeking a dedicated individual to join our People & Culture team. This department is responsible for a range of professional human resources functions, including employee relations, administrative support, and strategic initiatives related to workforce management.

This is a full-time, one-year term position located on the Fredericton Campus. We prioritize a healthy work-life balance for our employees.
Working Hours
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 36.25 hours per week.
Compensation
The salary for this role ranges from $53,301 to $72,644 annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage requests for employee extension letters.
- Provide guidance to departments regarding necessary documentation for various HR scenarios.
- Support the development and implementation of talent solutions, projects, and programs.
- Offer SharePoint assistance for the People & Culture unit.
- Facilitate Progression-through-the-range (PTR) increases utilizing Access databases.
- Maintain spreadsheets for the Recruitment team.
- Assist in planning and coordinating HR projects, including system upgrades and enhancements.
- Coordinate project activities to ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Collaborate with the team to complete reporting for the Federal Contractors Program and gather workforce data.
- Generate reports and conduct data analyses to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in creating training materials and resources for HRIS end users.
- Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of system processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- A diploma in an HR program may also be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR environment.
- Prior experience in project management or administrative roles, preferably within HRIS or IT projects.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be taken into account.
Preferred Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access.
- A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all tasks.
