About the Role
In the capacity of Corporate Insurance Specialist, you will oversee the management and administration of CMHC's corporate insurance program, focusing on property and casualty coverage. Your expertise will be essential in advising internal clients on risk management and ensuring CMHC's protection against operational risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance to internal clients regarding insurance coverage, policy interpretation, risk awareness, and claims management.
- Oversee financial planning and analysis related to the corporate insurance program.
- Strategically manage the corporate insurance program to ensure adequate coverage.
- Facilitate the effective management of insurance claims, offering expert advice to adjusters and clients.
- Monitor and report on claim outcomes for internal analysis.
- Develop logical and cost-effective solutions to client-related risk issues.
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in corporate insurance programs.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- In-depth knowledge of the commercial insurance industry and insurance terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- A Risk Management Certification or Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
