Role Overview:

This is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about communications and marketing within a volunteer framework. As a key member of the Cuso International team, you will engage in creating impactful communication materials that highlight the contributions of our partner organizations and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of compelling content for both print and digital platforms.
  • Design training resources aimed at enhancing the skills of staff and volunteers in utilizing social media effectively.
  • Craft and distribute narratives that showcase the significance of international volunteering and the initiatives of our partners.
  • Capture visual content through photography and videography, and disseminate it across various media channels.
  • Collaborate with fellow volunteers and staff during workshops and field activities.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required by the office's needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in journalism, communications, digital marketing, political science, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in audiovisual tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and video editing software.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in communications roles within Latin America.
  • Proven skills in research and interviewing.
  • Strong graphic design and photography skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Creativity and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
