Job Summary:

The Food Counter Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring the efficient operation of our food service establishment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by serving customers at counters or buffet tables, taking orders, and handling customer inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment, as well as sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and package take-out food.
  • Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving areas, and stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Handle and store cleaning products, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with overtime required.
  • Physically demanding work, with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and ability to multitask.
