About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Midas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on their vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues using state-of-the-art computer systems
  • Perform tire and tire repair services, including balancing and rotation
  • Work on car heating and air conditioning systems, steering and suspension, belts and hoses, and radiator and engine cooling systems
  • Repair and maintain batteries, starting and charging systems, and brake systems
  • Provide oil services, check engine light diagnostics, and muffler and exhaust services
  • Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and engine diagnostics
  • High personal productivity and ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
  • Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
  • Provincial Certificate of Qualification and valid driver's license
  • Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
