About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Manager to join our team at Yellow House Farm Society. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our farm, ensuring the highest standards of productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: Ensure that all farm staff receive regular training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Work Site Environment: Manage the farm's work site environment to ensure a safe and healthy working condition for all employees.
  • Screening Questions: Conduct thorough screening of potential employees to ensure they possess the necessary skills and experience for the role.
  • Experience: Oversee the recruitment and training of new staff, ensuring they are equipped to handle the demands of the role.
  • Temporary Employment: Manage temporary employees to ensure they are properly integrated into the team and receive the necessary support and training.
  • Language and Communication: Ensure that all farm staff are proficient in English and can communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Work Hours: Manage the work schedule to ensure that all employees work a standard 40-hour week.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
