About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Manager to join our team at Greatland Farms LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure efficient crop production and livestock management.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Crop and Livestock Management
    • Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of crop production and livestock programs to ensure optimal yields and quality.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve crop yields, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Quality Control and Safety
    • Ensure that all farm operations are conducted in accordance with established safety protocols and bio-security procedures.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards or quality control issues.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of farm operations, including crop production, livestock management, and quality control.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports to management on farm performance, production levels, and any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Crop Science, or a related field.
    • At least 1 year of experience in farm operations management or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of physical fitness is essential.
