About the Role

At BGIS, we are seeking a skilled Petroleum Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our petroleum equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain petroleum equipment, systems, and accessories to ensure site operation.
  • Repair and maintain leak detection systems to prevent environmental hazards.
  • Maintain professionalism, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner.
  • Exercise independent judgment in solving unusual work problems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Work under stress and control multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Participate in an on-call 24/7 rotation.

Requirements

  • Very mechanically inclined with an affinity for solving mechanical problems.
  • Clean Driver's Abstract and Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Moderate computer skills.
  • Organized, timely, and professional.

Additional Assets

  • Electrical expertise or understanding of electrical concepts and basic programming.
  • TSSA Petroleum Mechanic Certifications (PM1, PM2, PM3, or PMH).
  • Measurement Canada Certified Inspector.
