About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Equipment Specialist to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our petroleum equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain petroleum equipment, systems, and accessories to ensure site operation continuity;
  • Repair and maintain leak detection systems to prevent environmental hazards;
  • Maintain a professional image and portray the Company in a positive manner at all times;
  • Exercise independent judgment in solving complex work problems and making decisions;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals;
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time;
  • Ensure adherence to company health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Work effectively under stress and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Participate in an on-call 24/7 rotation to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills;
  • Clean driver's abstract and valid driver's license;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Organizational and time management skills;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Desire to continually learn and improve processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical expertise or understanding of electrical concepts and basic programming;
  • TSSA Petroleum Mechanic Certifications (PM1, PM2, PM3, or PMH);
  • Measurement Canada Certified Inspector.
