The mission of the Student Recruitment team is to excel in identifying potential students of all ages and persuading them of the benefits of the University of New Brunswick's programs, research, scholarships, and services to enhance their future prospects.

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week

Additional Working Conditions:

  • Significant travel along with evening and weekend work is required.
  • Capability to travel both provincially and nationally.

Salary Range: $50,532 - $65,688 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Manager of Student Recruitment, the Prospective Student Engagement Specialist is responsible for achieving inquiry, application, and enrollment objectives for the University by cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders within their designated sales territory. This role involves close collaboration with other members of the recruitment team and various units and faculties across both campuses.

  • Spearhead the creation and execution of a recruitment strategy tailored to specific target markets.
  • Establish inquiry and application targets for prospective students within their market.
  • Participate in post-secondary fairs.
  • Organize and conduct visits to high schools.
  • Deliver presentations on the University and related topics to high school students and influential figures.
  • Assist in planning and participating in innovative recruitment events, both on and off campus.
  • Foster relationships with potential undergraduate students through school visits, meetings, calls, emails, and presentations.
  • Support other recruitment officers in different territories as needed.
  • Build strong connections with high school guidance counselors, administrators, teachers, parents, alumni, and other key influencers in their area.
  • Collaborate to organize events and communications aimed at nurturing these relationships.
  • Conduct research on other universities and maintain awareness of competitive dynamics in the marketplace.
  • Represent recruitment on various committees as required.
  • Coordinate with facilities and staff on both campuses to stay informed about changes in programs, policies, facilities, and services.
  • Input prospective student inquiries into the database.
  • Assist with other events and activities as directed by the Student Recruitment Manager.
  • Contribute to the development of promotional materials and related research activities.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A university degree, with preference given to recent graduates from the University of New Brunswick.
  • Previous experience in sales or relationship building.
