About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Unit Supervisor to join our team at Duke & Lion Family Co. in a Food Service establishment. As a Unit Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit reports, and maintain accurate records of staff performance, customer feedback, and other relevant data.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Work Environment: Noisy and hot work site environment.
  • Work Setting: Food service establishment, on-site customer service, fast food outlet or concession, and restaurant.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, and physically demanding work.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and team player.
