Farm Supervisor Job Description

Coutts Agro Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise farm operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and equipment.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations, including crop management and maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair services, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Assist in operation, repair, and maintenance of farm equipment and facilities.
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient logistics and inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop and warehouse, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in farm management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
