Integrated Construction Technology Manager

- Ensure that multidisciplinary construction models are up-to-date and comply with modeling standards to fulfill construction requirements.
- Oversee the allocation of integrated construction resources at the district level while spearheading departmental process enhancement initiatives.
- Collaborate with estimating teams to determine and manage staffing resources and budgets for upcoming projects.
- Engage in project interviews and proposal development concerning Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and other integrated technologies.
- Facilitate the establishment, management, and optimization of digital workflows.
- Coordinate and supervise trade detailing and design deliverables.
- Act as a liaison between design teams and construction teams.
- During the project pursuit phase, collaborate with the project team to evaluate and suggest scopes for incorporating VDC tools and processes.
- Contribute to defining design deliverables and trade detailing requirements.
- Participate in the project pursuit and proposal process, including the creation and presentation of narrative and material.
- Work alongside design and trade partners to assist in the development of project documentation.
- Review VDC and Integrated Construction Technology contract language and requirements, and formulate a BIM execution plan.
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or a two-year certificate in a discipline related to the building industry (e.g., architecture, engineering, construction management, civil engineering).
- 8 to 10 years of experience in construction, including 4 to 5 years specifically in Virtual Design and Construction.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction sequences.
- Proven experience in implementing construction technology effectively.
- Capability to manage project models efficiently.
- Intermediate knowledge of the building construction process and the various components involved at each construction stage.
- Ability to ensure the quality of virtual design and construction models provided by design and trade partners.
- Familiarity with trade detailing and design workflows.
- Advanced skills in interpreting and understanding 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications, with the ability to convert 2D drawings into a complete 3D/4D Building Information Model.
- Extensive knowledge and training in 3D modeling software.
- Experience with 4D scheduling software and planning tools.
- Ability to draft a Building Information Model (BIM) execution plan.
- Experience in translating project schedules and scopes to develop a VDC schedule.
