As an Emergency Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Providing crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies for patients experiencing acute mental health distress.
  • Liaising with psychiatrists, inpatient units, and community resources to ensure seamless transitions of care.
  • Educating patients and families about mental health conditions, available support services, and medication management.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of mental health policies and guidelines within the Emergency Department.
