Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Mental Health Clinician to join our team. This role plays a vital part in providing timely and effective mental health support to individuals experiencing crisis situations within the Emergency Department setting.
As an Emergency Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Providing crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies for patients experiencing acute mental health distress.
- Liaising with psychiatrists, inpatient units, and community resources to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Educating patients and families about mental health conditions, available support services, and medication management.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of mental health policies and guidelines within the Emergency Department.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong understanding of mental health disorders, assessment tools, and treatment modalities.
