We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Sunset Inn Kenora. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including complete meals and individual items, using fresh ingredients and adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including the storage and rotation of food and supplies, and the proper disposal of waste.
- Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards for cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that meals are prepared and served efficiently and effectively.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort environment
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, ability to work in a team, and physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
