Key Responsibilities

Interpret technical drawings to ascertain dimensions, tolerances, and layout requirements Proficiently utilize the imperial measurement system Adjust machine settings to uphold critical specifications Inspect finished products using tools such as straightedges and combination squares Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe and operational condition Operate a 175-ton CNC power press brake Adhere to quality control protocols and utilize measuring instruments Understand the dynamics of a manufacturing environment Maintain a positive rapport with supervisors and colleagues Collaborate effectively with team members to resolve issues

Required Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in brake and shear operations Preference for candidates who are second or third-year apprentice sheet metal workers Previous shop experience is advantageous Familiarity with proper bending techniques Experience in programming CNC press brakes is a plus Knowledge of operating Cincinnati laser tables is beneficial Proficient in using 1/4" plate shear equipment and procedures Commitment to safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate workflow challenges Capacity to adapt and manage multiple tasks effectively
