Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at NOV Inc. as a Precision Manufacturing Specialist. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art CNC machines, ensuring the highest level of precision and quality in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Operate and maintain CNC machines, including setup, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform precise measuring and inspection to ensure components meet specific tolerances and surface finishes.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to maximize material usage and equipment efficiency.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting any hazards or incidents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and participate in quality control initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining, preferably with setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills.
  • Proficiency in operating CNC machines from leading manufacturers, including Okuma, DMG Mori, Mazak, Weingartner, and Leistritz.
  • Knowledge of G-Code, Siemens, Heidenhain, and OS300 controls.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and standing.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
