Key Responsibilities

Interpret and analyze blueprints to ascertain dimensions, tolerances, and layout specifications Utilize the imperial measurement system effectively Adjust machine settings to ensure precision in production Inspect finished products using tools such as straightedges and combination squares Maintain machinery in a safe and operational condition Operate a 175-ton CNC power press brake Adhere to quality control protocols and utilize measuring instruments Understand the dynamics of a manufacturing environment Communicate positively with supervisors and colleagues Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Required Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in brake and shear operations Preference for candidates who are second or third-year apprentices in sheet metal work Previous shop experience is advantageous Familiarity with proper bending techniques Experience in programming CNC press brakes is a plus Knowledge of operating Cincinnati Laser Tables is beneficial Proficiency in using 1/4" plate shear equipment and procedures Commitment to safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate workflow needs Capacity to manage multiple tasks with patience and adaptability
