The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing operation, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of production functions. This individual will be responsible for managing employees, planning and implementing production schedules, promoting safety and quality standards, and supporting company goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective production department planning, policies, and procedures.
- Assist Senior Management in developing short and long-term goals and objectives.
- Participate in developing department policies and procedures that support company-wide strategic objectives.
- Conduct periodic reviews of existing policies and ensure they are updated and aligned with evolving production and quality standards.
- Oversee production and assembly processes, supervising assembly, inspection, and shipment of products.
- Monitor and supervise production quality and inspection of products, identifying problems and resolving them quickly and effectively.
- Regulate work flow to ensure maximum production capacity and monitor the floor production schedule to ensure products are completed according to deadlines.
- Ensure production functions are completed in accordance with established production, safety, and quality standards.
- Effectively supervise assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance and providing leadership through effective goal setting, delegation, and communication.
- Direct and assign personnel, provide assistance and support as needed, and conduct performance appraisals as required.
- Assist with personnel decisions, including hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions.
- Maintain effective communication, coordination, and working relations with company personnel and management.
- Work closely with purchasing and engineering departments to maintain schedules and implement changes and revisions in operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a College Degree or equivalent education, with additional education or training in Manufacturing preferred.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and ERP system.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with a quality-oriented and problem-solving approach.
