Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and examinations in collaboration with Radiologists, Cardiologists, Physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
About the Role:The successful applicant will work within the hospital's Echo Lab, which is part of a large Diagnostic Cardiology Department. The Echo Lab performs approximately 11,500 inpatient and outpatient Echo exams annually, including Adult and Pediatric Echo, Stress Echo, Transesophageal Echo, Contrast and Bubble Echo.
Key Responsibilities:- Receiving, verifying, and processing requisitions from Physicians for diagnostic ultrasound procedures and examinations.
- Performing all diagnostic ultrasound procedures and examinations in accordance with established standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Organizing workload according to exam priority and equipment availability.
- Monitoring patient care and safety by ensuring procedures adhere to department standards, policies, and protocols.

Effective April 01, 2024, the hourly wage for Cardiac Sonographers will be $40.83 to $50.94.
