The Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Family Newborn Care Unit, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to the needs of patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough nursing assessments and developing individualized care plans.
  • Implementing and evaluating patient care strategies to promote health and prevent illness.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
  • Educating patients and families on health management and wellness practices.
  • Building strong professional relationships within the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
  • Recent completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience in maternal and infant care is preferred.
  • Commitment to family-centered care principles.
  • Competency in additional languages is an asset.
Work Schedule

This position involves 11.25-hour shifts, including a combination of day and night shifts.
