About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a key member of our Health, Safety and Environment Branch, you will play a critical role in supporting our research centres and corporate branches in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and advice to management and employees on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental programs and policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work procedures.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify and mitigate health, safety, and environmental risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a research or industrial setting.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including the Canada Labour Code and the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.
