Role Overview:

As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will work within various communities, assisting clients with diverse diagnoses and injuries. Your focus will be on facilitating their return to previous levels of functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in programs related to:
    • Auto Insurance: Address complex needs by assessing and treating clients with a range of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial challenges. Conduct in-home assessments, hospital discharge evaluations, and ergonomic assessments, among other interventions.
    • Workplace Rehabilitation: Support clients in their return to work through functional and cognitive assessments, job coaching, and workplace accommodation recommendations.
    • Mental Health Support: Implement exposure therapy and strategies to help clients reintegrate into meaningful daily activities, including trauma processing and coping strategies.

Our Occupational Therapists may specialize in specific areas or prefer a mixed caseload, offering variety in their daily responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Experience in areas such as brain injury rehabilitation, mental health, and ergonomics is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel purposes.
