Position Overview:

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in a consulting engineering setting to address the evolving needs of our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide influential leadership to ensure the successful execution of assigned projects.
  • Plan, lead, and oversee project delivery in alignment with BBA's objectives, ensuring satisfaction for clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical, financial, scheduling, and human resource challenges to minimize potential discrepancies.
  • Assess project risks and implement strategies to eliminate or mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies through qualified personnel trained for project tasks.
  • Maintain the quality of professional services rendered, adhering to the quality management system to uphold BBA's esteemed reputation.
  • Integrate available resources into projects to enhance the development of BBA's expertise through multi-level teams.
  • Select appropriate personnel to manage technical risks in collaboration with department leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • At least twenty years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in managing medium to large EPCM and EPC projects within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
  • Experience in overseeing preliminary studies.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams as well as project control, procurement, and construction management teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern project management methodologies.
  • Strong time management and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.

Assets:

  • PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
  • Experience with construction sites.
  • Experience managing international projects.
  • Experience in managing projects executed in joint ventures or partnerships.
