Your Role

As we expand, we are seeking a project manager with experience in a consulting engineering context to meet the growing demands of our clientele. In this role, you will:

  • Provide strong leadership to ensure project success.
  • Plan, oversee, and manage project delivery in alignment with BBA’s standards and client expectations.
  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Proactively address and resolve technical, financial, scheduling, and human resource challenges.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies through qualified personnel.
  • Maintain the quality of services in accordance with our quality management system.
  • Engage in business development activities and proposal generation.
  • Leverage available resources to enhance BBA’s capabilities.
  • Select appropriate personnel to manage technical risks in collaboration with department heads.
  • Act as a mentor to project teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • At least 20 years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing medium to large EPCM and EPC projects in mining or heavy industry
  • Proven track record in managing preliminary studies
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and overseeing project control, procurement, and construction management
  • Comprehensive understanding of modern project management methodologies
  • Strong time management and decision-making abilities
  • Capability to maintain collaborative relationships with clients, personnel, and suppliers
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficient in written and spoken communication in both English and French
  • Advanced skills in MS Office
  • Preferred: PMP certification from the Project Management Institute
  • Preferred: Experience on construction sites
  • Preferred: Experience managing international projects
  • Preferred: Experience in joint ventures or partnerships
