Your Role

As we expand, we are seeking a Project Manager experienced in a consulting engineering context to address the increasing demands of our clients. In this role, you will:

  • Provide effective leadership to ensure the successful execution of your projects.
  • Plan, direct, and oversee project delivery in alignment with BBA's standards and client expectations.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Proactively address and resolve technical, financial, scheduling, and human resource challenges to minimize potential issues.
  • Identify project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols by qualified personnel.
  • Maintain the quality of services provided, in line with our quality management system to uphold BBA's professional reputation.
  • Engage in business development activities and contribute to proposal generation.
  • Leverage available resources to enhance project outcomes and team development.
  • Select appropriate personnel to manage technical risks in collaboration with department heads.
  • Act as a mentor to project teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Two decades of relevant experience
  • Proven track record in managing medium to large EPCM and EPC projects, particularly in mining or heavy industry
  • Experience in overseeing preliminary studies
  • Management experience with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project control, procurement, and construction management
  • Comprehensive understanding of modern project management methodologies
  • Strong time management and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with clients, personnel, and suppliers
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in both English and French
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Preferred: PMP certification from the Project Management Institute
  • Preferred: Experience on construction sites
  • Preferred: Experience managing international projects
  • Preferred: Experience in joint ventures or partnerships
