About the Role

Trafalgar School for Girls is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as Associate Director of Enrolment and Admissions. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of enrolment management and a passion for delivering exceptional student experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admissions:
    • Serve as the main contact for prospective new families, maintain inquiry and application data and detailed follow-up processes.
    • Review, evaluate and manage new student applications through inquiry to enrollment, ensuring the completeness of applications and required documents.
    • Apply for eligibility for students; liaise with the Ministry of Education (MEES); keep records of eligibility inquiries and results.
    • Contact international parents to renew Visa permits for temporary stay, as well as apply for a permanent code for new international students.
    • Manage and oversee multiple events including Open House, Information Sessions/guest visits, Entrance Exams, New Parent Orientation, and assists with student orientations and new student gatherings.
    • Coordinate and schedule meetings, tours and interviews for the Admissions Office
    • Actively seek, and stay apprised of, relevant admissions information, organizations, methods and trends in admissions.
    • Participate in local admissions and recruitment fairs
    • Partners with the Admissions Team to establish admissions standards, admissions policies, and process for evaluating and making final admit/deny decisions for all applicants. Ensures systematic, efficient, and confidential handling of applications and related student information.
  • Enrolment and Strategy:
    • Develop long-term enrolment and retention strategies and implement them to ensure each class is filled with and retains qualified students who will successfully meet Trafalgar graduate standards upon the completion of their studies.
    • Identify emerging and new markets for prospective recruiting and changing trends in student recruitment
    • Stay apprised of market insight to drive strategic decisions and monitor local, national, and international enrolment trends.
    • Utilize predictive analytics to provide enrollment forecasting and enrollment management planning and provide timely enrollment forecasting for budgeting purposes to the Head of School, Finance, and the Board.
    • Understands enrolment management as a research-based process; initiates research studies/projects, which aid in understanding the effects and outcomes of admissions and financial aid policies and practices, and how Trafalgar's student life, academic culture, and learning environment impact overall enrolment.
    • Develop and lead the Student, Parent, and Alumnae Ambassador programs
    • Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to conceptualize and implement innovative strategies and tactics that drive market awareness and demand for the school's programs and offerings, attracting a diverse class of high-quality applicants to Trafalgar School.
  • Administration:
    • Work closely with the school registrar to ensure timely and accurate collection of data related to student retention, including attrition analysis.
    • Maintain and utilize Blackbaud technology to nurture and manage client relations.
    • Partner with Finance to develop tuition and financial aid policies designed to maximize new student enrolment and current student retention; monitors trends and provides reporting on demographics of incoming student population.
    • Lead by example, expressing warmth and hospitality and ensuring the mission of Trafalgar is visible in the enrolment process and demonstrating the attributes to prospective families, students, faculty, staff, and school leadership.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in admissions (experience in a private/independent school an asset).
    • Proven leadership success including the ability to motivate and lead positively through change, collaborate with others to reach common goals.
    • Proven organizational management skills in complex educational settings.
    • Demonstration of a positive track record with admissions, recruiting, conversion, retention and social media is an asset.
    • Proven analytical skills involving data, budgets and social media.
    • Fluently Bilingual in English and French
