About the Program

Diverse Abilities Religious Education (DARE) is a program that provides religious education and support to members of the community with diverse abilities and those who are 18+. Sessions are held on a monthly basis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the DARE program, working closely with the Inclusive Special Needs Program Manager to establish a vision and goals for the program. They will provide leadership to ensure the program's objectives align with the broader goals of Baitul iLM.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Vision: Collaborate with the Inclusive Special Needs Program Manager to establish a vision and goals for the program. Provide leadership to ensure the program's objectives align with the broader goals of Baitul iLM.
  • Team Management: Oversee the professional development and well-being of teaching staff within the program. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss program updates, challenges, and successes.
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation: Work closely with teachers to develop and adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of participants. Ensure the effective implementation of inclusive teaching methods and best practices.
  • Mentorship and Support: Provide mentorship to teaching staff, offering guidance on inclusive teaching strategies and classroom management. Address challenges and concerns raised by teachers and provide timely support.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Collaborate with the Admin Team to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and the broader community. Organize regular communication channels, such as parent-teacher meetings and community events.
  • Program Evaluation and Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of the program through ongoing assessment and evaluation. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance program outcomes.

About You

The ideal candidate will have relevant academic qualifications in education leadership and previous experience in a leadership role within an educational setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role.
