About Our Client

Our non-profit organization, Recruiting in Motion, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director/VP, Finance to lead our finance team and support our continued growth plans.

Responsibilities

  1. Financial Leadership: Oversee all finance functions, ensuring processes and procedures are up-to-date and aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Strategic Planning: Evaluate current strategic plans for effectiveness and provide strategic direction for all financial strategies, new initiatives, and growth plans.
  3. Team Management: Manage the finance team, developing and providing support to ensure individual and organizational growth objectives are met.
  4. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, investments, and banking relationships to ensure financial stability.
  5. Reporting and Analysis: Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent reporting to meet all deadlines.
  6. Process Improvement: Regularly review workflows and financial software systems to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  7. Financial Presentations: Present and provide analysis of all financials to senior leadership and the board of directors.
  8. Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization and externally with senior leadership, the board of directors, and funders.
  9. Financial Risk Management: Ensure financial assets are safeguarded and manage risk and exposure.
  10. Annual Audit: Oversee the annual audit process to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in commerce, finance, and/or accounting from a recognized university.
  2. Designation: Designated CPA.
  3. Experience: 10+ years of experience in the non-profit sector with a significant track record of strong people management.
  4. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience leading the goal-setting and performance-management process.
  5. Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of technology, specifically utilizing it to create efficiencies.
  7. Time Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  8. Adaptability: Flexible and positive approach, solution-focused, open to new ideas and initiatives.
