Cross-Border Taxation Manager

Baker Tilly Canada Cooperative is on the lookout for a dedicated Cross-Border Taxation Manager to enhance our tax practice. This role is pivotal for individuals who are passionate about a career in taxation and are eager to take charge of managing tax projects while contributing to the growth of our firm and our clientele.

Our tax practice encompasses a diverse range of tax and succession planning domains, including estate and trust compliance, personal and corporate tax strategies, transactions involving private businesses, estate planning, and cross-border investment and compliance. We welcome candidates with expertise in any of these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Tax Partners and senior staff on personal tax compliance and advisory projects
  • Oversee and coordinate tax planning and compliance services for individuals with US and Canadian income or estate tax obligations
  • Manage risks and financial outcomes of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets
  • Review assessments and liaise with tax authorities on various matters
  • Cultivate and maintain senior-level client relationships; provide clients with exceptional tax services and advice
  • Mentor and develop staff to reach their full potential
  • Support and guide firm personnel regarding tax-related issues
  • Identify opportunities for enhanced client service
