Director, International Taxation

At Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, we are seeking a highly skilled Director, International Taxation to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing specialized advice on a broad range of international income tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage tax planning matters pertaining to international cross-border transactions.
  • Identify and analyze international tax considerations of proposed transactions, assess and quantify risks.
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with stakeholders at all levels within CIBC to effectively manage the delivery of tax services.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax legislative and administrative developments in the area of international taxation and inform relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • CPA designation or a Bachelor of Laws degree.
  • At least 5 or more years of tax experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian taxation with a specialization on outbound taxation.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to translate technical guidance into business terms and implications.
