Tax Manager, Cross Border Expert

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Cross Border Tax practice. As a key member of our team, you will work with high net worth individuals and their families to provide complex US and Canadian tax compliance and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Canadian and US tax planning initiatives and compliance projects
- Direct the work of staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness
- Research and prepare tax-planning strategies for clients
- Develop relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tax solutions
- Prepare memos by conducting tax research and analyzing complex issues
- Provide ongoing support and mentoring for staff professional development
- Collaborate with other practices and member firms to attract new work
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Canadian and US personal tax
- Ability to lead private client engagements and interact effectively with clients
- US Professional Accounting designation (EA or US CPA) is an asset
- Canadian CPA is an asset
- Completion of the In-depth Tax Course is an asset
- Experience with trust taxation and estate planning is an asset
- Strong research and writing ability
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Experience in project management, including team leadership, workflow management, and financial metrics
