Job Summary:

The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Team Leader to join our EXCEL Program team. As a Program Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff and developing and delivering creative core programming for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of staff to ensure high-quality programming and services are delivered to children.
  • Develop and implement creative core programming that meets the needs of children and aligns with HRCE's educational goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with HRCE's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Education diploma or University background in child studies, recreation or related experience in professional child care field.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to motivate and work well with a team of staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
