Job Description

Job Title: Teacher - Intermediate Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Teacher to join our team at Canalta Elementary School. As an Intermediate Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students in grades 4-7.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Requirements:

  • Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
  • Experience teaching intermediate students
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Capacity to adapt to changing curriculum and instructional methods
