Position Overview:

  • The Logistics and Customer Support Specialist plays a vital role in the RecordXpress team, responsible for operating service vehicles and assisting customers daily. This position serves as the public representative of RecordXpress and must consistently perform duties safely and professionally while prioritizing customer satisfaction. Adherence to industry procedures for secure document destruction is essential.

WORKING HOURS:

SHIFT SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Availability for on-call duties may be required.

Driving and Operational Responsibilities:

  • Driving company vehicles to various service locations while adhering to traffic regulations and practicing defensive driving.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (verbal and basic written skills are sufficient).
  • Successful candidates must undergo and pass background checks.
  • Permanent residency or citizenship is required.
  • Experience or certification in operating forklifts and other machinery is advantageous.
  • This role involves both driving and performing regular warehouse tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs is necessary.
  • Basic computer skills (email, Excel, Word) are required.
  • Exhibiting courtesy towards other drivers and maintaining a professional image for RecordXpress.
  • Operating the vehicle in a safe and unobtrusive manner.
  • Utilizing handheld devices to access customer information, input data, and print receipts.
  • Managing the collection and shredding of documents from service bins.
  • Conducting routine maintenance checks and inspections as per the maintenance schedule.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized service area.
  • Labeling and managing inventory of service bins and consoles.
  • Completing and submitting routine reports.

Customer Service Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with customer contacts.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Coordinating with the service manager and sales team to enhance customer service efforts.
  • Complying with industry standards for secure document destruction.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A clean driver's abstract is required.
  • Air brake endorsement is a plus.
  • Completion of a Defensive Driving Course is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude for performing routine vehicle maintenance.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a service-oriented environment.
  • Effective organizational skills for task prioritization and time management.
  • High level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in computer usage.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors.
  • Manual dexterity is required for using computer equipment.
  • Above-average physical activity, including lifting up to 75 lbs consistently.
