About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping and Yard Maintenance Specialist at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. This is a part-time position that requires a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties of the YMCA facility, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Meet the highest standards of building cleanliness, ensuring our members have an enjoyable experience in a clean facility.
  • Conduct general yard maintenance, including lawn care and landscaping.
  • Complete cleaning tasks to ensure the facility is ready for children according to licensing and YMCA standards.
  • Ability to speak, write, listen, and secure information in a variety of settings.
  • Ability to cooperate with others to achieve results and create and build relationships inside and outside the organization.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Able to work without direct supervision.
  • Physically able to do assigned tasks and ability to multitask.
  • WHIMIS is an asset.
  • Three professional references and clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector search.
