Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping and Yard Maintenance Specialist at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Child Care Centre, as well as performing general yard maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties of the YMCA Care and Learning Centre, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and sanitization.
  • Meet the highest standards of building cleanliness in our location, ensuring a positive experience for our members.
  • Conduct general yard maintenance as required, ensuring the facility's outdoor spaces are well-maintained.
  • Complete cleaning tasks to ensure the facility is ready for children, meeting licensing and YMCA standards.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical ability to perform assigned tasks and multitask effectively.
  • WHIMIS certification is an asset.
  • Three professional references and a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector search.
