Physician Assistant

Nova Scotia Health is currently seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Department at the South Shore Regional Hospital. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the transformation of healthcare delivery in our province.
Responsibilities- Obtain health history and conduct comprehensive physical assessments to formulate a differential diagnosis and determine further clinical investigation requirements
- Order preliminary diagnostic testing and interpret results to inform treatment and management plans
- Implement effective treatment plans, including preventive and therapeutic interventions, and demonstrate appropriate procedural skills
- Collaborate with and seek consultation from supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Assistant with a strong background in emergency medicine. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Certification through the Physician Assistant's Certification Council (PACC) or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required, as well as eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons Nova Scotia and membership with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants.
