About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Obsidian Group Inc. as a Handyman/Handywoman. This is a permanent position that requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs.
  • Operate industrial equipment including vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaning machines, and power tools.
  • Make minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens as required.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a high level of hygiene.
  • Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the maintenance team.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a maintenance or related role.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and at various locations.
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks that require heavy lifting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job that requires the ability to work in various locations and weather conditions. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team to maintain a high level of service delivery.

  • Criminal record check will be required for this position.
