Maintenance Technician

Morguard is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative and ad-hoc maintenance activities to ensure the uninterrupted performance of all building systems and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine, preventative and ad-hoc maintenance and schedule programming of all building and site equipment, including HVAC, boilers, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, emergency generators, etc.
  • Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance of non-vital building systems and report on issues as they arise.
  • Prepare cost, time and material estimates, as well as purchase supplies and materials needed for projects.
  • Supervise contractors working on-site and assist with various construction projects.
  • Perform minor repairs and installations pertaining to non-structural and non-vital systems of the property.
Requirements:
  • Certification in one of the core building operations systems, such as Provincial certification in Stationary Engineer 4th Class or Gas Technician 2.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in building operations or related trades.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent technical trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
