We are seeking a skilled Lab Patient Technician to join our team in Sudbury, ON. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and interact with patients, ensuring a positive experience and collecting required information for specimen collection.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings with precision and care.
  • Collect and process special test samples, including medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials, while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and following up on requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Enter patient data and requisition information into our system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing test results.
  • Prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills.
  • Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to strict standards of patient privacy.
