About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lab Patient Technician to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the specimen collection process.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings with precision and accuracy.
  • Collect and process specimens for testing, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to their inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Enter patient data and requisition information into our system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience, with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, clients, and colleagues.
  • Good computer skills, with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
