We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lab Patient Technician to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the specimen collection process.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings with precision and accuracy.
- Collect and process specimens for testing, maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, clients, and healthcare providers through effective communication and follow-up.
- Enter patient data and requisition information into our system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to strict standards of patient privacy.
- Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
