Position Overview:
The selected candidate will engage in the advancement of integrated photonics-based motion detection systems tailored for autonomous vehicles and drones.

About One Silicon Chip Photonics:
Established in 2017, One Silicon Chip Photonics (OSCPS) is dedicated to the innovation of Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), utilizing Micro-Opto-Electro-Mechanical (MOEMS) accelerometers and on-chip Integrated-Photonics gyroscopes. Our current focus is on creating a comprehensive optical solution for the autonomous vehicle sector.

Team Dynamics:
We are assembling a dynamic and innovative team that specializes in the design and simulation of optical devices, micro-fabrication, and device characterization.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal applicant will possess robust expertise in electronics and photonics engineering, alongside proficiency in software interfaces, particularly regarding the interaction, propagation, analysis, and manipulation of optical waves within integrated circuits.

We seek an experimentalist with practical experience in the assembly and evaluation of integrated optical devices, as well as extensive knowledge of micro-optical sensors, particularly in micro-optical resonators.

Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in micro-photonics building blocks, ideally in micro-optical resonators.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-photonics, Physics (Optics), or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of industry experience in optoelectronics and/or testing of Integrated-Photonics system components is essential.
- Strong project management capabilities, adaptable to a fast-paced and innovative start-up environment.

Responsibilities:
- Testing and characterization of Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) components (e.g., Splitters, Circulators, Filters, Resonators).
- Advancing PIC characterization techniques and developing testing methodologies for stringent specifications.
- Creating, validating, and maintaining test programs/scripts for parametric and functional evaluations of electro-optic photonic integrated circuits.
- Executing functional and parametric assessments.
- Ongoing enhancement of laboratory inventory.
- Collaborating with test equipment vendors and managing procurement of optical, electro-optical, and electronic components based on performance requirements.
