Job Description

One Silicon Chip Photonics (OSCP) is seeking a highly skilled Optoelectronics Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development and testing of integrated photonics-based motion sensors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Characterize PIC building blocks, including splitters, circulators, filters, and resonators.
  • Work closely with the hardware electronics team to design and develop optical test setups for sensor characterization.
  • Perform electro-optical experiments and analyze data to ensure optimal device performance.
  • Participate in the design and development of opto-electronics devices, including procurement of optical, electro-optical, and electronics parts.

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of integrated photonics-based sensors, preferably in the field of micro-optical resonators.
  • Minimum B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electro-photonics, Physics (Optics), or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of industry working experience in optoelectronics devices testing and characterization.
  • Hands-on experience working with optical components, such as waveguides, splitters, circulators, isolators, phase modulators, lasers, detectors, and software.
  • Leadership and strong communication skills.
  • Highly meticulous and detail-oriented to ensure design specifications are applied as intended.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with software OptiSpice, Lumerical Interconnect, Cadence Allegro/OrCad, Vivado, Matlab/Simulink, Spyder python, GCC/G, Git, Altium Designer, or Labview.
  • Experience in cleanroom, motion sensors, and MEMS.
